Hints and Tips
Choosing Shoes
- Very high heels on short girls look out of proportion.
Medium-height, slender heels are more chic.
- Tall women look great in flat shoes and stunning
in high heels as long as they keep their head high and shoulders back!
- Low-cut court shoes flatter thick ankles.
- The thicker the heel’s base the more stable the
shoe.
- High heels put more than seven times your body weight
on the ball of your foot. Unless you are used to wearing very high heels
i.e., over two inches high, no amount of padding can help!
- Buy shoes and boots at the end of the day, since
feet expand during the day.
- Your foot should not hang off the back or sides of a sole.
- When trying shoes on, walk on a hard surface.
- Court shoes are styles that our customers adore because they
fit so comfortably and are stylish in their timeless simplicity.
- Stiletto heels look fantastic with light floaty fabrics
and of course high heels lengthen the leg and define calf muscles!
- If you are experimenting with a new style, walking
around the house a few times in your new shoes will ensure comfort and
confidence on the big day!
Buying model hats
Before you try on hats, first determine your face shape. Decide if it’s
long, oval, square, round or heart-shaped.
- Oval shape face - opt for classic, simple styles
that let your perfect face shape make the statement.
- Square shape face – large dramatic styles will
look great.
- Round and heart shape faces – always opt for
upturned brims which draw attention to the eyes and lift the face. Avoid
straight brims which cut the face in two and make the cheeks look rounder.
Wear your hat at an angle. If the brim cuts at a slight angle across
the forehead it slims the face.
When considering the right style for your shape face you should also
be considering the colour too. Remember the ideal hat should make you
feel a million dollars.
